Optional employer winner | Charleston County Government

The county partners with PEBA and other local resources to offer on-site dental exams and cleanings, annual health screenings, yearly vaccination and flu-shot events, and mobile mammograms. People are busy, and reducing barriers makes it more likely that employees will take advantage of these opportunities to maintain and improve their health.
County employees also benefit from a robust Employee Assistance Program, free weekly on-site yoga classes, and access to free fitness centers, outdoor walking paths and nature trails. When employees feel supported in caring for their physical, mental, financial, occupational, family and social well-being, they are healthier, more engaged and better equipped to contribute at work and within their communities.
