PEBA, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and Express Scripts are closely monitoring the latest information about the COVID-19 vaccines.

At a special called meeting of the PEBA Board of Directors on April 17, 2020, the Board took action to implement the permissive provisions of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)

PEBA awarded the contract for long term disability insurance to The Standard Insurance Company. The contract begins September 1, 2020, and the initial contract period goes through December 31, 2022.

The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA) has awarded the contract for Pharmacy Benefits Management services to Express Scripts, Inc. 

At its July 22, 2020, meeting, the PEBA Board of Directors reelected John Sowards as Chairman and Rocky Pearce as Vice Chairman.
