The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority intends to offer a voluntary group TRICARE Supplement Health Insurance plan to its TRICARE eligible subscribers as a health plan option for Plan Years 2023-2025. The voluntary group TRICARE Supplement Health Insurance plan will be offered to TRICARE eligible subscribers through the South Carolina Benefit Authority’s Section 125 cafeteria plan in order that subscribers may pay premiums on a pre-tax basis, in accordance with federal law and regulations.

  • Guaranteed issuance
  • 100% reimbursement of the TRICARE cost share and copayments including prescription drugs
  • 100% reimbursement of the TRICARE Standard Outpatient Deductible
  • 100% reimbursement of applicable excess charges when non-participating providers are utilized.

The South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority understands that only one (1) source exists with the ability to provide and administer a voluntary group TRICARE Supplement Health Insurance plan for TRICARE eligible subscribers. As such, the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority intends to sole source the procurement of a voluntary group TRICARE Supplement Health Insurance plan.
